Making/placing Ron Paul signs…

September 11, 2007

UPDATE UPDATE: Just received an email from Pete Jensen, Director of Public Safety. Apparently there is a policy for placing signs on the fence and he emailed that to me. After I go through bureaucracy, hopefully we can get the signs back on the fence.

UPDATE: As of 6:30 this morning, all three signs placed around the CSC construction site were gone. At the entrance of the library wire ties were found cut. It was winding last night, but not windy enough. I suspect the signs were removed by campus police. It may be possible that Krauss-Anderson does not want anything on their fence. If that is the case, I can live with it. If it is something other, I will have issues. I am attempting to get to the bottom of this.

The rEVOLution has hit USD! Today, Robb and I produced a number of large Ron Paul rEVOLution and USD Students for Ron Paul signs. This was the first time either of us had made campaign signs, even rudimentary ones such as those you will see below. Nonetheless, we got some produced and they are displayed on campus; and there are more to come!

By the way, USD Students for Ron Paul and the USD/Vermillion Meetup Group will be having its first Meetup tomorrow night (Wed. Sept. 12) at 7:30 pm at Little Italy’s on Cherry Street. If you are in the area, come by, show your support for Ron Paul, and help us organize to begin informing others about Dr. Paul.

Now the pictures…

Hello Supporters of Ron Paul!

September 7, 2007

Welcome to the USD Students for Ron Paul website. This site is still being put together, as is our campaign efforts for Ron Paul at USD. It is our belief, and we hope yours too, that Congressman Paul is the best candidate for President of the United States. Dr. Paul stands up for the Constitution and is fighting for freedom, prosperity, and peace. His ideals go to the core of what this country was founded on, unlike all the other candidates currently running for president. Our intention over the course of the next school year is to introduce people to Ron Paul and his ideas. Hopefully, by coming to this website you have taken another step closer in helping us work to get Ron Paul elected president.

As stated, we are in the early stages of our organization on campus. On Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 7:30 PM at Little Italy’s in Vermillion, we will be holding our first Meetup group. At this gathering, we will mostly work on getting to know one another, but also planning ahead. We need to accomplish a number of material goals in the near future: Produce signs and distribute around campus, Print numerous fliers, policy papers and other forms of literature which could be handed out at events around campus, and we will want to create a schedule of events to cover and sign up individuals to canvas those events.

I will be flat out honest, I have never worked on a grass-roots campaign before. If there are those of you out there that have, please feel free to suggest what types of things need, or should, be done. Hopefully this becomes a total group effort.

Again, thanks for coming by the site and checking out Ron Paul. There are plenty of links to the right for further information on Ron Paul, please visit them and inform yourself on one of the most Constitutionally sound candidates this country has seen in more than 40 years.
